The Briton received many messages of support, with even the Queen congratulating Raducanu after her US Open victory.
Raducanu was also messaged by world number one at the time Novak Djokovic.
Novak Djokovic sent a message to Emma Raducanu after she won the US Open
Raducanu and Djokovic had two very different experiences during the final weekend at the US Open.
While Raducanu would beat Leylah Fernandez in straight sets to win the US Open, Djokovic would suffer the complete opposite fate.
Djokovic was looking to become only the second man in the Open Era to complete the Calendar Slam after Rod Laver, with Daniil Medvedev standing in his way in the US Open final.
However, Medvedev would have too much for Djokovic and beat him in straight sets to win his first Grand Slam title.
Despite the disappointment of missing the opportunity to complete the Calendar Slam, Djokovic wrote a message for Medvedev on social media, as well as congratulating Raducanu.
Djokovic wrote on Instagram, “Congratulations to both Champions. Amazing fairytale story on the women’s side with two teenagers competing in the final. Emma you are fantastic. Daniil, you absolutely deserve your first Grand Slam title. Well done.
