Victoria Beckham’s new watercolour blush takes cheek colour to the next level

Trust Victoria Beckham to make a blusher that works perfectly with today’s cheek colour trends, but looks like fine art as opposed to makeup.

Colour Wash is the new blush, and it comes in three vibrant shades that have a stained glass effect on the skin. The formulas are a fresh take on cheek colour, and the blush appears to sink into the skin rather than sitting on top of it.

The shades work on all skin tones, and, like a lot of Victoria Beckham’s makeup line, there are skincare benefits in the watercolour blush.

Colour Wash

Victoria Beckham’s latest launch is very on-trend, but this is a posh launch that delivers a sheer wash of colour across the cheeks, so it’s suitable for all ages, and not just 20-somethings.

The three shades in Colour Wash are: Coral, a sheer warm peachy coral; Flushed (Victoria’s favourite), a sheer blush red; and Vintage Rose, a sheer berry mauve. Colour Wash costs €51, and there are a few ways to apply it.

How-To
The blushes are water-based and made up of activated sea water, vitamin C-rich superfruit extracts, and coconut fruit water. They are supposed to look and feel as though they are a completely natural flush, barely detectable as a makeup product.

To apply Colour Wash, the brand suggests using its 12. Buffer Brush for a diffused blush look. You can, of course, dot it on and use your fingertips to tap it out. And you can wear the cheek colour on bare skin or over makeup, whichever you prefer. You can also use Colour Wash on the lips for a stained lip look.
