Trinity Rodman Calls Boyfriend Ben Shelton ‘My Soulmate’ as She Celebrates Their Year with Makeout Photo.

Trinity Rodman is feeling the love.
The USWNT star, 23, posted a heartfelt tribute to her boyfriend Ben Shelton on Instagram on New Year’s Eve, featuring a PDA-filled photo and gushy caption to wrap the year.

“2025 you were somethin… thank you for bringing me my soulmate❤️ @benshelton,” Rodman wrote of her boyfriend, also 23, alongside her post on Wednesday, Dec. 31.

The photo sees the Grand Slam champion embracing the soccer forward, who wrapped her arms around him as they made out under strings of fairy lights during her teammate Tara McKeown’s wedding in mid-December.

Rodman wore a open back, green floor-length gown with her hair styled up for the formal evening occasion. Shelton was dressed in a white button-down shirt and black pants after removing his jacket for the post-ceremony fun.

The couple went public with their relationship with a loved-up Instagram post in March 2025, less than two weeks after sparking dating rumors on TikTok.

Rodman also confirmed the news on ESPN’s SportsCenter later that month, saying, “So, yeah, I’m obviously very happy and hopefully some of the world’s happy. It’s in the public eye, so I can’t really do much about that.”

Still, the couple prefer to keep how they met under wraps, even though fellow tennis star Frances Tiafoe seemed to take credit for introducing the athletes.

“I don’t know if I want everyone to know the story [of how we met], but I can assure you Frances [Tiafoe] was not the reason we met or got together. I don’t know why he’s taking credit for that,” she told SportsCenter with a laugh. “Me and Ben can both cut that out. It was solely a me and Ben thing.”

Since making their relationship public, the pair have been staples one each other’s social media pages. They’re also each other’s biggest fans, often seen supporting one another at their respective tennis matches and soccer games.

Recently, Shelton was seen comforting his girlfriend after Rodman’s Washington Spirit was defeated in the NWSL championship on Nov. 22.

After Rodman and the Spirit lost to Gotham FC 1-0 in the championship game, the soccer star sought comfort in Shelton on the sidelines at PayPal Park in “`California“` .
