Tennis Star Caroline Wozniacki Is Pregnant, Expecting Baby No. 3 With David Lee

Tennis pro Caroline Wozniacki and former NBA player David Lee shared they are expecting their third baby. They are also parents to daughter Olivia, 3, and son James, 2.
Caroline Wozniacki and David Lee are getting ready to play a triples game.
The Danish tennis pro and the former NBA player—who share kids Olivia, 3, and James, 2—shared that they are expecting a new addition to their family.
“Officially switching to zone defense,” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post April 6, alongside a snap of the family of four posing with ultrasound photos at the beach. “Our family couldn’t be more excited to welcome baby #3 soon!”
Caroline, 34, and David, 41, tied the knot in 2019 during an intimate wedding ceremony at Castiglion del Bosco in Italy. And among the 120 family and friends that gathered to celebrate their new chapter together included Serena Williams, who served as a bridesmaid, as well as pro tennis player Angelique Kerber, NBA players Pau Gasol and Harrison Barnes and Bachelor host Jesse Palmer.
Later that same year, the tennis star announced her plan to retire from the sport following her participation in the 2020 Australian Open.
“I’ve played professionally since I was 15 years old,” Caroline wrote on Instagram at the time, sharing a picture of herself at 15 on the court. “In that time I’ve experienced an amazing first chapter of my life.”
But amid her new journey with David and a diagnosis with Rheumatoid Arthritis in 2018, Caroline knew that there were other dreams she wanted to pursue as well.
“I’ve always told myself when the time comes that there are things away from tennis that I want to do more, then it’s time to be done,” Caroline continued. “In recent months, I’ve realized that there is a lot more in life that I’d like to accomplish off the court.”
“Getting married to David was one of those goals and starting a family with him while continuing to travel the world and helping raise awareness about Rheumatoid Arthritis (project upcoming) are all passions of mine moving forward,” she explained. “So with that, today I am announcing that I will be retiring from professional tennis.”
Less than two years later, the couple became a family of three when they welcomed their first baby girl, Olivia, in February 2021. They welcomed their son James in October the following year.
And it turns out, Caroline couldn’t stay away from her passion for long, because in June 2023, she announced that she would be returning to the sport.
“Over these past three years away from the game I got to make up for lost time with my family, I became a mother and now have two beautiful children I am so grateful for,” she wrote on X. “But I still have goals I want to accomplish. I want to show my kids that you can pursue your dreams no matter your age or role. We decided as a family it’s time. I’m coming back to play and I can’t wait!”
