American tennis phenom Taylor Fritz was a young father to son Jordan.
His family includes the boy, who was born in 2017 when Fritz was only 19.
Fritz, who is competing at Wimbledon, married young at age 18 to his high school sweetheart Raquel Pedraza, from whom he is now divorced. Fritz is currently dating social media influencer Morgan Riddle.
“I feel like a lot has happened in my life for how young I am, so I guess it’s normal that I feel older than I am. I don’t want to say that I’m wise beyond my years, but obviously, I have a lot of experiences that others my age might not have,” Fritz told Haute Living.
He had to grow up fast due to having a kid so young, he told Haute Living.
In 2020, Fritz shared a photo showing him with Jordan on Christmas. “Merry Christmas everyone🎄🎁 Just glad I got to spend it this year with loved ones ❤️,” he wrote, sharing a photo showing Jordan holding a Hot Wheels car set.
“I think [having a kid] taught me a lot of lessons about time management. I have to juggle all these different things,” Fritz said to the publication. “It also taught me to not care so much about other people’s opinions. There was a lot of talk when I was younger. I was always very concerned about how my career would be affected, the things people were saying, and things of that nature.”
On the Netflix show Break Point, Fritz opened up about the challenges of balancing fatherhood with professional tennis.
“I have a son that I don’t get to see near as much as I’d like,” he said, according to People. “As it stands right now, I just have to try to see him as much as I possibly can.
