Steffi Graf Has a Special Person Waiting in Maryland, As Husband Andre Agassi Discloses Sweet Sushi Bar Gesture.
Steffi Graf and her husband, Andre Agassi, are often referred to as the tennis power couple. Recently, in Maryland, the German tennis star made Agassi wait for her at a sushi bar, where he shared a sweet gesture he did for her during his wait.
Graf and Agassi got married in a small and private ceremony at their Las Vegas home in 2001. They are parents to two children: Jaden Gil Agassi, born in 2001, and Jaz Elle Agassi, born in 2003.
Andre Agassi Reveals Wife Steffi Graf’s Sushi Order While Waiting for Her in Maryland
Agassi and Graf were recently in Maryland to shoot for a campaign for JOOLA, a German sports equipment company known for its table tennis and pickleball products. The couple joined the company in August 2024 and collaborated on launching a line of pickleball equipment.
Agassi shared a video on social media in which he revealed that he was waiting in Maryland for Graf at the sushi bar. In the video, he mentioned that he was going to order a cucumber salad and seared Toro to go for the German.
“Sitting at a sushi bar in Maryland. Waiting to film a couple days with JOOLA which I’m excited about. Definitely. And I’m doing this with Stef which is so cool. But she didn’t get in for a couple more hours. So I think I’m gonna get a cucumber salad to go for her. Seared Toro. And I don’t know. Anything else that might make her realize how excited I am. But until then I need help,” Agassi said.
On the tennis side of things, Graf turned professional in 1982 and retired in 1999 with 22 Grand Slam singles titles to her name, which include seven titles at Wimbledon, six at the French Open, five at the US Open, and four at the Australian Open.
In addition to her singles titles, the German won one doubles Grand Slam title: the 1988 Wimbledon Championships alongside Gabriela Sabatini. She also earned gold, silver, and bronze Olympic medals and held the World No. 1 ranking, among several other accolades.
On the other hand, Agassi, who turned pro in 1986, won eight Grand Slam singles titles during his career, including four at the Australian Open, two at the US Open, and one each at Wimbledon and the French Open. He also won a gold medal in singles at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and achieved the World No. 1 ranking before retiring from the sport in 2006.
