The couple, who began dating in 2019, got engaged in July 2023. Their ceremony, set against the Ionian Sea, offered a picturesque backdrop.
“It was everything we imagined when we picked Lesante Cape,” said Bjorklund, now Mirjam Shapovalova. “Perfect weather, perfect moments—a beautiful beginning to our life together.”
Shapovalov, ranked No. 26 in the PIF ATP Rankings, has had a strong 2025, posting a 21-17 record per the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index. The 26-year-old claimed his biggest title at the ATP 500 in Dallas in February and an ATP 250 in Los Cabos in July, going unbeaten in sets.
