Proof Harper Beckham Is Ready to Follow in Mom Victoria Beckham’s Shoes.

Harper Beckham has grown up sitting front row at her mom’s fashion shows, but Netflix’s Victoria Beckham shows a rare glimpse of the aspiring mogul being a normal teen—in decidedly elevated settings.

Harper Beckham has been a fixture in the fashion world since she was 14 months old.

That’s when the youngest child of Victoria Beckham and David Beckham made her front-row debut, perched on her mum’s lap, as Victoria showed next spring’s collection at New York Fashion Week in September 2012, a year before VIP Anna Wintour scored a plum seat next to the toddler and her dad.

Since joining brothers Brooklyn Beckham, Romeo Beckham and Cruz Beckham in the family fold in 2011, Harper has been in the public eye her whole life, albeit with her superstar parents making sure that their daughter’s privacy is respected.

But as the only one of her siblings still residing full-time with her parents, now 14-year-old Harper enjoyed an unprecedented amount of screen time in the new Netflix docuseries Victoria Beckham, which delves into the former Spice Girl’s quest to establish herself as a designer.

“The Spice Girls made me feel good enough about being me,” Victorias said in the series. “And I tell Harper ever single day, you follow your dreams and be who you are.”

So far, like your prototypical teen, Harper wants to film TikTok dance routines to “Le Freak” by Chic on her phone, the cameras capturing the sweet interaction when she instructs her mum on what to do—and has a most relatable, head-clutching “No!” moment when Victoria busts out a move that doesn’t quite fit her vision.

“Just do something random,” Harper encourages her mother. Victoria complies, also asking, “Are you going to put me through a filter?”

Whichever one her daughter picked, it was mother-approved, as Harper does not yet have public social media accounts.

Her parents do post photos of the whole family on Instagram—though their now-married eldest son Brooklyn isn’t around quite as much as the rest of the kids lately—and Harper makes frequent cameos in Victoria’s TikToks.

“She’s obsessed with makeup,” the Victoria Beckham Beauty founder told The Times in 2023. “She’s been able to do a full face and contour for quite some time. She’s good at doing it very naturally.”

And “if she’s doing well in a test,” Victoria said, she’ll reward Harper with a trip to beauty retailer Space NK. “She’s obsessed.”

She’s also doing her homework, Harper saying at the New York launch of her mom’s fragrance My Reverie last November that her plan was to “create an amazing brand” when she’s older.

Days later, the aspiring mogul presented her mom with the Entrepreneur of the Year honor at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards, and the end credits of Victoria Beckham show Romeo getting emotional watching his then-13-year-old sister rehearse her speech.

“That’s so cute,” Romeo said with a big smile, prompting David to ask him, “Are you crying? You are!” (The proud big brother insisted he was not.)

In another OMG-so-grown-up moment in the series, David brought Harper and Cruz to get fitted in signature Victoria Beckham ahead of the designer’s pivotal Paris Fashion Week show at the Bois de Boulogne gardens in September 2024.

“We’ve got another girl that’s come for the casting,” Victoria announced as Harper modeled a silvery-gray floor-length slip dress, prompting a smile from the teen. “Give us a good walk, you look gorgeous.”

“I just want you to feel comfortable,” Harper’s mother assured her. “You look perfect.”

But while Victoria added that the dress fit “so perfectly,” David wonders whether “they’re at a dangerous length there for her heel?” His concerns were promptly dismissed, though Harper gave him a big hug and assured him she loved the dress

She loved it so much she wore it again for her big moment in the spotlight at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards.

Where she asked Victoria what the event was named after, and when she found out that was the name of a magazine, Harper said, “Oh, I thought it was ’cause of me.”

The adorable moment also served as a reminder that Harper, despite being a part of so many family outings that feature red carpets and photographers, is still the baby of the family.

“I’m so nervous,” she admitted on the dais with a giggle, prompting a collective “aw” from the audience. But then she cracked a joke—”I’m so excited to be here…especially as tonight is a school night, hopefully this means I get to skip my homework”—which was a reminder that this Beckham is just biding her time.
