David and Victoria Beckham ‘Repeatedly’ Tried to Mend Rift with Brooklyn and Nicola, Who Only Want to Speak Via Lawyers (Exclusive).

A source tells PEOPLE that David and Victoria want to “move forward” with son Brooklyn and daughter-in-law Nicola amid their alleged strained relationship.

David and Victoria Beckham have long tried to work things out with their son and daughter-in-law, Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham.

Amid the family’s ongoing rift, a source with knowledge of the situation tells PEOPLE, “David and Victoria have repeatedly asked Brooklyn and Nicola to meet and talk in order to move forward.”

David loves his kids,” says the insider of Brooklyn, 26, and younger sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 14. “They are his everything.”

Multiple sources have shared that David and Victoria have tried to make amends with Brooklyn and Nicola, 31, who wed in 2022, when the feud allegedly began over Nicola’s wedding gown.

The former soccer star “of course invited Brooklyn and Nicola [to his knighting and after-gathering]. They have always been invited to all family occasions or events whether private or public,” the source adds. David was knighted by King Charles on Nov. 4 for his “services to sport and charity.”

Brooklyn’s reps could not be reached for comment, and reps for David and Victoria did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

On Jan. 8, The Sun reported that Brooklyn sent his parents a legal notice warning that they can only contact him through lawyers, while also insisting that they not “tag” him on social media. The outlet also claimed that a breach of the “desist” letter — an Instagram “like” from Victoria — was why the budding chef blocked David and Victoria online. According to The Daily Mail, the decision was made by Brooklyn last summer.

As of December, Brooklyn, Nicola, Victoria and David do not follow each other on Instagram. The Cloud23 founder and Lola star also do not follow Romeo and Cruz, the latter of whom revealed on his Instagram Stories, “My mum and dad would never unfollow their son … Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked … as did I.”

Brooklyn and Nicola celebrated Christmas separate from David, Victoria and the Beckham family. On Dec. 26, Nicola shared a series of photos on Instagram of herself posing in front of a Christmas tree with Brooklyn and her parents, Nelson Peltz and Claudia Heffner Peltz. “We wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy New Year filled with so much love, peace and happiness,” she wrote.

On New Year’s Eve, David shared an Instagram post of his favorite moments of 2025, Brooklyn noticeably absent from the emotional recap, which featured Romeo, Cruz and Harper. However, David followed up the grid post with Instagram Stories posts that included his eldest son.

“I love you all so much,” David wrote over a black and white image of himself with a young Brooklyn.
