Brooklyn Beckham ‘sends legal letter with strict request’ to David and Victoria as bitter feud escalates.

Brooklyn Beckham is understood to have instructed his parents Sir David and Victoria Beckham that all future communication must be conducted through legal representatives, according to reports emerging overnight.

The 26-year-old eldest son of the celebrity couple is said to have dispatched a formal “desist” letter to his family towards the end of last summer.

A source told The Sun: “The reality is that he issued them with a letter at the end of last summer, asking for any correspondence to go via lawyers only, and wanted to try and make amends privately, not publicly.”

The aspiring chef is understood to have grown frustrated that his parents continued referencing him on social media rather than approaching him directly to repair their fractured relationship.

The formal notice also requested that the Beckhams refrain from tagging their eldest child on social media platforms, with Brooklyn said to be feeling overwhelmed by their persistent public posts.

Following what he perceived as continued breaches of this request, Brooklyn took the dramatic step of blocking both parents on Instagram.

His younger brother Cruz, 20, confirmed the family rift last month when he posted: “They (my parents) woke up blocked . . . so did I.”

Friends of Brooklyn have suggested the initial hostilities actually began earlier, claiming that Romeo, 23, and Cruz had first blocked their older sibling on Instagram before later reversing the decision.

Brooklyn has not communicated with his parents for 13 months, with the estrangement deepening ahead of Sir David’s 50th birthday celebrations last May.

The catalyst for the blocking appears to have been Victoria’s decision to like a video Brooklyn had shared featuring a roast chicken recipe, which was interpreted as a violation of the legal request for private contact only.

Within 48 hours of his mother’s positive response to his poultry dish, Brooklyn had cut off his immediate family on the platform.

His wife Nicola Peltz, the 31-year-old Transformers actress, has similarly blocked the Beckhams from her social media accounts.

However, Brooklyn’s grandparents and extended family members remain unaffected by the restrictions and continue to engage with his posts without issue.

Sir David and Victoria are represented by Harbottle & Lewis, the prestigious law firm that also acts for King Charles, with partners charging approximately £800 per hour.

Sources close to the family have described the situation as deeply distressing for all involved.

A source told The Sun: “Truly, people do not know the full facts of this heartbreaking tale, and think Brooklyn was just being truculent when he blocked his parents.”

The insider added that Sir David and Victoria were “utterly bemused and devastated” by the deterioration of their relationship with their firstborn, with prospects for reconciliation appearing increasingly remote.

Despite the estrangement, the couple have attempted to extend olive branches to their son.

Friends have indicated that Brooklyn received an invitation to attend his father’s knighthood ceremony in November, with Nicola also being asked to join the family for the evening dinner celebration.

The precise nature of any response to Brooklyn’s initial legal correspondence remains unclear.
