Andrey Rublev has announced the departure of one of his coaching team after crashing out of the Shanghai Masters.
Rublev has been brutally honest about his coaching team after a run of form that has been disappointing by the Russian’s high standards.
The star’s loss to qualifier Yoshihito Nishioka in Shanghai was his fourth in a row that dates back to the US Open.
After an extremely poor run of form, the World No. 14 has announced a major change to his coaching team.

Andrey Rublev’s fitness coach Marcos Borderias, has announced he’s leaving the Russian star’s team after three years.
The fitness coach took to social media to share a message after their successful partnership was brought to an end.
“Closing an amazing three-year chapter full of learning, growth and great experiences,” the Spaniard wrote on Instagram.
“Grateful for the opportunity and everything I’ve lived along the way,” he explained as Rublev continues his introspective look into his career.
The star looks a shell of the player he’s been over the past few years, which saw him reach a career-high of World No. 5 in 2021.
The star added former Grand Slam champion Marat Safin to his coaching team in the summer and he’s continued to make changes as the 2025 season comes to an end.

Rublev looks bereft of confidence after suffering another loss at the Shanghai Masters and he was brutally frank about his current form.
“It’s not that they’ve figured out my game,” said Rublev to the Russian press after his Shanghai Masters loss.
“It’s just that my level of tennis has reached a ceiling. That’s it. Either I continue to be stuck in the top 20, with all the young players pushing me down the rankings further and further, or try to drastically change everything and give myself a chance for the rest of my career.”
Despite his worrying form in 2025, the Russian has managed to pick up a title at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open.
