Taylor Fritz leads the entire ATP Tour in crucial area as the 2025 season ends.
Taylor Fritz’s 2025 ATP Tour season has come to a close following his appearance at the ATP Finals in Turin, Italy.
The American, who has ended the year at world number six, exited at the round robin stage after losing to Alex de Minaur in his final match.
Despite this disappointment, Fritz has enjoyed an excellent year on the ATP Tour, winning multiple titles and cementing his place as one of the few realistic challengers to Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner’s dominance.
Fritz proved this by defeating Alcaraz at the Laver Cup and by causing the Spaniard trouble during their Wimbledon and ATP Finals matches.
When reviewing the American’s year, one shot stands out in particular as a strength.

Of all players competing on the ATP Tour, Taylor Fritz has perhaps the strongest, most consistent serve.
This is evidenced by his ace statistics from this year. The American stands above all others – having served the most aces of any player on Tour.
Fritz, 28, has hit 867 aces – 77 ahead of compatriot Reilly Opelka.
Felix Auger-Aliassime is next, having served 783 aces, and Jakub Mensik and Alexander Bublik complete the top five with 679 and 674 aces, respectively.
Taylor Fritz’s best Grand Slam opportunity in 2026
Wimbledon remains Taylor Fritz’s best chance of winning a Grand Slam title. The American is at his best on the surface, as demonstrated by his run to the semi-finals this year.
In fact, Fritz – who has also won a record four Eastbourne Open titles [a grass-court tournament] – came agonisingly close to making the final at SW19. In the semi-final, the American was 2-1 in sets to Carlos Alcaraz, but had two set points to level the match and force a fifth set.
Unfortunately for fans of the American, he was unable to convert these opportunities, and Alcaraz roared back to win the tiebreak and subsequently the match.
Fritz will hope to win his first Slam next year and end America’s 25-year wait for a male Grand Slam singles champion.
