Andy Murray signs first golf equipment deal.
It was only a matter of time before Andy Murray made another move in the golf world. The two-time Wimbledon champion and Olympic Gold Medallist has joined Callaway Golf as an ambassador.
The golf mad 37-year-old was announced by the brand on Thursday afternoon, although he has been using Callaway equipment since getting fitted for the brand’s clubs in September at the European Performance Centre.
Murray has already made his mark in the sport, having competed in the 2024 BMW PGA Championship, where the seven handicapper drew massive crowds.
Now, Callaway will give fans the opportunity to follow the Scot on his journey through golf, with the brand creating exclusive content showcasing his progress, insights and experiences on the course.
“I’ve been playing a lot of golf since I retired from tennis and Callaway have been supporting me with this,” said Murray.
“I was fitted at their European Performance Centre in September and I’ve been using their clubs since then. It’s made a huge difference to my performance already. I’m hoping to reduce my handicap so I’m looking forward to working with them to keep improving my game.”

While the Scot certainly brings experience from the tennis court to Callaway‘s ranks, he’ll also be hoping to bring a serious golf game, too. After announcing his retirement from playing tennis last year, he set a goal of getting his handicap to scratch.
So far, that goal certainly seems achievable, with Murray holding a handicap index of seven around Wentworth, the home of the DP World Tour’s flagship event.
One thing is now for sure, Murray will have the right equipment in play when he’s out on the course.
