Genie Bouchard was a Wimbledon finalist in 2014. Ten years later, the Canadian won her first two pickleball matches. On top, she has been showing more and more interest in becoming a full-time influencer.
To be more specific, Bouchard announced on Instagram that she won her first two pickleball matches. “My first pickleball win!!! (by walkover),” Bouchard wrote after winning against former tennis player Dominique Schaefer. “First real win!! Lfg!!” Bouchard followed after winning a doubles match alongside her pro pickleball partner Eric Roddy. They confronted Michelle Esquivel and Steve Deakin.
After the wins, Bouchard posted a short workout she did after one of her matches, and even asked her followers to subscribe. “Subscribe for the full videos & workout routine,” Genie wrote on Instagram alongside a laughing emoji. Maybe she wanted to mock some influencers that do this. Or, maybe she targeted OnlyFans influencers since she filmed her workout from an upskirt angle. “Girl those shots at the beginning you gotta chill with. We don’t need to have a heart attack, by midnight,” one of Bouchard’s followers commented to her workout video.

When did Bouchard become a pro pickleball player
Eugenie Bouchard joined the Professional Pickleball Tour this year.
“With one of the biggest signings of the year @geniebouchard, professional tennis star with a WTA #5 career high in singles, joins the PPA Tour in 2024!” the Professional Pickleball Tour announced last year.
Before scoring her first wins, Bouchard debuted with a bag of losses in this new sport. She left the PPA Tour Hyundai Masters in Palm Springs on the opening day.
“Look, pickleball is crazy. It’s wild for me to just play a completely different sport,” Bouchard said after her pickleball debut.
“I’ve played tennis for 25 years now, and so my brain is like wired for tennis. So I like either completely whiff the ball or I just hit the tip of the paddle and miss my shot,” Bouchard added. “I’m very excited to just challenge myself with this new pickle chapter and then still remain in the tennis world that I love,” Bouchard said.
Do you know who also joined the PPA Tour this year? Jack Sock. “Excited to sign Jack Sock to a one year contract for the 2024 season along with a team option for the next two years!” Sock’s team NY Hustlers wrote on Instagram.
In tennis, Eugenie Bouchard is currently ranked number 302 in the world. The Canadian’s last tournament was in Guadalajara, Mexico, where she reached the 1/16 finals. She was defeated in three sets by Veronika Kudermetova.
However, we also saw Bouchard teaming up with doubles icon Mike Bryan in The Netflix Slam.

Bouchard also posted some behind-the-scenes footage from The Netflix Slam.
In the same Netflix Slam, Carlos Alcaraz took on Rafael Nadal. Carlitos won 6-3, 4-6, 14-12.
“It’s a good thing that as a player I will not face him many times. As a fan, I will enjoy watching him for many years hopefully! He’s a big challenge,” Nadal said after the match.
Unfortunately for her fans, Bouchard appears on tennis courts much less often than she used to. TV contests, basketball games, family time, selfies, and parties seem to slowly become the number one priority.
