The Qatar Open will be the third hard-court ATP 500 event of the season, with the Dallas Open and Rotterdam having already taken place.
Last year, Karen Khachanov was crowned the champion – the seventh title of his career.
This year will mark the event’s first edition as an ATP 500, having previously taken place as an ATP 250.

When and where does the 2025 Qatar Open take place?
The event will take place from February 17 to 22 on the outdoor hard courts of Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha.
2025 marks 32 years since the tournament’s formation, with the event being held in the same location at it was back in 1993.
As usual, the Qatar Open will feature a 32-player singles draw and a 16-player doubles draw, with the prize money pot totalling $2,700,600.

When the Qatar Open arrived, he improved his level further – beating Fabian Marozsan, Emil Ruusuvuori and Alexei Popyrin, without dropping a set, along the way to the final.
In the final, the Russian defeated Czech Jakub Mensik 7-6(12), 6-4.
Who will compete in Doha in 2025?
The 2025 field is star-studded, featuring six of the world’s top 10.
These players are world No 1 Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev, Alex de Minaur and Andrey Rublev, while world No 13 Grigor Dimitrov will also feature.
Who will not compete in Doha in 2025?
Jordan Thompson and Arthur Fils have withdrawn from the event.

When will the draw take place?
The draw for the 2025 Qatar Open will take place on Saturday, February 15 at 12pm (local time).
Can Carlos Alcaraz return to world No 2?
Currently, Alcaraz is 625 points behind world No 2 Alexander Zverev and this means he cannot overtake the German in the ATP Rankings. However, he can begin to close the gap.
This won’t be easy, as Zverev, the Australian Open finalist, will play the ATP 500 in Rio next week, and so the Spaniard must outperform his rival in their respective tournaments.
How about Novak Djokovic?

Djokovic has confirmed that he will be fit for the event, having suffered a hamstring tear at the Australian Open.
A victory would have additional meaning for the Serb, as it would be his 100th career title, with only Jimmy Connors and past rival Roger Federer having secured more.
